Your Legal Obligations
Businesses are required to provide appropriate training to all employees who handle food stuffs as part of their work. According to the Food Standards Agency report on Food Safety Training Guidance, food businesses are required to develop and maintain food safety management procedures, such as HACCP based procedures, and to ensure that all staff handling both wrapped and open foods have been trained at a level commensurate with their duties, and that they are supervised as they work.
